Driving Family Tradition Forward
Brian, our retired owner at Leisure Sales, has a legendary story. Leaving school with no qualifications, he worked as a carpenter and even busked in the pubs of Wigan to raise funds. His very first caravan, a Lunar Venus 1972, was crafted and built by Brian himself in a rented barn, while his wife Maggie lovingly sewed the curtains on her domestic sewing machine. From these humble beginnings, a multi-million-pound caravan legacy was born, co-founding Lunar Caravans.
Now, his son and grandchildren run Leisure Sales, carrying forward the family business. We have caravanning in our blood. In an exclusive interview with caravan expert Andy Jenkinson, Brian shares the full story. You can also see his very first caravan, the Lunar Venus 1972, on display in our showrooms – click the link to watch.
